The Role.

At Halter, our hardware is the heartbeat of our technology. We are looking for an Inventory Analyst who will be the primary link between our global physical operations and our financial reporting. Your mission? To ensure that every dollar of inventory on our balance sheet across NZ, AU, US, and Canada is 100% accurate and working hard for the business.

You aren’t just "counting stock"—you are the architect of our asset data. You’ll manage the valuation, cost accuracy, and risk mitigation of our global inventory within our ERP (NetSuite), ensuring our financial foundations are as robust as the collars we build.

What You’ll Be Doing.

1. ERP & Systems Mastery (NetSuite). You’ll own the inventory module of our tech stack. You’ll ensure all item records, assembly configurations, and location mappings are optimised and flowing perfectly. You’ll be the go-to person for how our physical movements translate into digital data.

2. Asset Lifecycle & Value Integrity. You will own the capitalisation and impairment review of Halter’s Net Assets. This means you are responsible for the digital flow of goods—from procurement and receiving to inter-company transfers—ensuring our valuation is pristine at every step.

3. Balance Sheet Integrity & Audit Readiness. You’ll perform monthly reconciliations between the Inventory Sub-ledger and the General Ledger (GL), investigating variances and tracking down the "why" behind cost trends. You’ll lead our global stock counts and manage the mitigation of financial risk associated with stock loss or obsolescence.

4. The Science of Valuation (Landed Costs). You’ll oversee complex costing models, ensuring that freight, duties, and handling fees are correctly capitalised. You make sure we know the true value of our tech at every stage of the journey from factory to farm.

5. Collaborative Strategy & Analysis. You won't work in a silo. You’ll partner closely with our FP&A team on budget planning and performance, providing the finance and operations teams with the sharp analysis they need to make strategic decisions.

6. Continuous Process Innovation. Halter moves fast. You’ll help maintain and evolve our internal controls, always looking for ways to embrace tech and AI to automate reconciliations and sharpen our accuracy.

Who You Are.
  • The Systems Savvy Expert: You have a solid foundation (3+ years) managing inventory in Tier 1 systems like NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle. Don’t have that exact experience? If you’re a fast learner who is ready to dive in, master our tech stack, and improve processes, we want to hear from you.

  • The Systems Thinker: You have a deep understanding of the "ripple effect"—you know exactly how an Item Receipt in the warehouse impacts Accounts Payable in the office.

  • Financial Literacy: You have a degree in Accounting, Finance, or an analytical Supply Chain discipline. You have a strong understanding of GAAP/IFRS principles as they relate to inventory and net asset capitalisation.

  • The Analytical Detective: You love digging into the data to find the "so what." You don't just find a variance; you find the root cause and fix it for good.

  • The High-Performer: You thrive in a fast-paced environment and take pride in knowing the numbers are 100% right.
