What you will do:

• Conduct hydraulic studies using modelling software to analyze pipeline systems for design and operational issues, develop solutions, and issue formal technical recommendations.

• Provide engineering support by actively participating in hydraulics engineering activities related to operation and help solve hydraulics problems within assigned asset areas.

• Review and provide technical direction in development of PFD, P&ID, Shutdown Keys, control narratives, and associated engineering documents.

• Support maintenance, testing and reporting requirements for pressure relief and measuring devices.

• Identify and recommend enhancements to the engineering standards and specifications.

• Review and provide broad technical direction in development of transient & steady-state hydraulic analysis models and technical reports. Conduct technical reviews, with a focus on process and hydraulics engineering, at different stages in project life cycle gating process.

• Implement and/or review feasibility studies, conceptual designs, process studies, and detail engineering designs to ensure designs follow Enbridge quality processes, standards, and industry regulations.

• Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives with respect to design and processes.

• Review operational process data to drive technical recommendations.
   

Who you are:

• Completion of a degree in Engineering. Preference is Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.

• Professional Engineering designation with APEGA.

• 4 + years of progressively of process and hydraulic engineering experience. Working knowledge of hydraulic modelling software such as Synergi Pipeline Simulator and/or AFT Fathom is an asset.

• Solid understanding of liquid pipeline and facility operations.

• Effective interpersonal skills, with the ability to optimally interact with peers, internal partners, upper-level management, vendors, and service providers.

• Ability to shift focus between planned and unplanned activities, while remaining effective.
   

Working Conditions:

• Office environment with up to 10% travel to Enbridge customer/consultant offices, US offices and field locations 1-2 times per year.

• Ability to travel within Canada and United States.
