What you will do:
Conduct hydraulic studies using modelling software to analyze pipeline systems for design and operational issues, develop solutions, and issue formal technical recommendations.
Provide engineering support by actively participating in hydraulics engineering activities related to operation and help solve hydraulics problems within assigned asset areas.
Review and provide technical direction in development of PFD, P&ID, Shutdown Keys, control narratives, and associated engineering documents.
Support maintenance, testing and reporting requirements for pressure relief and measuring devices.
Identify and recommend enhancements to the engineering standards and specifications.
Review and provide broad technical direction in development of transient & steady-state hydraulic analysis models and technical reports. Conduct technical reviews, with a focus on process and hydraulics engineering, at different stages in project life cycle gating process.
Implement and/or review feasibility studies, conceptual designs, process studies, and detail engineering designs to ensure designs follow Enbridge quality processes, standards, and industry regulations.
Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives with respect to design and processes.
Review operational process data to drive technical recommendations.
Who you are:
Completion of a degree in Engineering. Preference is Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
Professional Engineering designation with APEGA.
4 + years of progressively of process and hydraulic engineering experience. Working knowledge of hydraulic modelling software such as Synergi Pipeline Simulator and/or AFT Fathom is an asset.
Solid understanding of liquid pipeline and facility operations.
Effective interpersonal skills, with the ability to optimally interact with peers, internal partners, upper-level management, vendors, and service providers.
Ability to shift focus between planned and unplanned activities, while remaining effective.
Working Conditions:
Office environment with up to 10% travel to Enbridge customer/consultant offices, US offices and field locations 1-2 times per year.
Ability to travel within Canada and United States.
