The Intermediate Accountant will manage accounts receivable, perform cash management, prepare financial statements, and support payroll and accounting tasks within the team.

Position Overview:We are looking for a talented, energetic individual with a dedication to quality to join our growing Accounting team in Burnaby, B.C. The ideal candidate will have exposure and experience to full-cycle accounting environments and will be a versatile professional ready and able to assist in all tasks assigned as needed.
Responsibilities:- Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements
- Plan, set up and administer accounting systems
- Supervise staff
- Train staff
- Ensure accuracy and compliance to accounting standards, procedures and internal control
- Prepare financial information for individuals, departments or companies
- Prepare reports and audit findings
- Prepare financial statements and reports
- Recommend improvements to accounting systems and management practices
- Analyze financial documents and reports
- Examine accounting records
- Variance analysis
- Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
- 4-6 years experience in the full-cycle accounting environment
- Knowledge of SAP and QuickBooks
- MS Excel at intermediate level
- College diploma or degree in accounting
- Previous experience in accounting or other related fields
- Fundamental knowledge of GAAP
- Experience with current computer accounting programs and reporting tools
- Detail and deadline-oriented
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Financial analysis abilities
- Troubleshooting skills and multitasking ability
- Excellent English business communication skills
- Fully remote work is not available for this position.
- This role requires a minimum in-office presence of 4 days per week.
- Only candidates already local to Metro Vancouver will be considered.
