POSITION SUMMARY

This role is responsible for delivering exceptional client service while supporting sales, underwriting, and policy servicing activities within a fast-paced Client Service Centre environment. This role serves as a primary point of contact for clients, handling inbound and outbound inquiries, providing coverage recommendations, and writing new personal insurance policies including home, travel, and umbrella coverage.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Handle inbound and outbound client calls through the Client Service Centre

  • Perform front-line underwriting in accordance with company guidelines

  • Assess client needs and provide appropriate insurance coverage recommendations

  • Proactively contact clients to obtain renewal information

  • Write new home, travel, and umbrella policies and cross-sell additional insurance products

  • Support clients with remarketing, new business, renewals, and policy endorsements

  • Manage accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances as required

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records as changes occur

  • Deliver a high level of customer service while consistently meeting sales and performance targets

  • Provide support and guidance to the Personal Insurance Team, including branch locations

  • Respond to client inquiries by providing policy and coverage information in a clear and timely manner

  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

  • As a successful candidate you will possess the following characteristics:

  • The ability to work independently as well as within a team

  • Excellence communication skills, written and orally

  • Outstanding client service skills

REQUIREMENTS

  • Level 2 General Insurance License or Level 1 General Insurance License with a commitment to obtain Level 2 within 6 months

  • Minimum 1 year of auto insurance experience

  • 1–2 years of customer service experience

The expected salary range for this position is $47,000 to $60,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level. HUB International is proud to offer comprehensive benefit and total compensation packages which could include extended health benefits, disability insurance, RRSP matching, paid-time-off benefits, and eligible bonuses, and commissions for some positions.
