As Marqeta’s Insights Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring Marqeta’s understanding of market and competitive trends via a research driven approach. This role will be a part of the Insights team which supports Marqeta’s market intelligence and competitive strategy efforts. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting research efforts that inform our marketing, sales, product, and general go-to-market efforts. This includes proprietary survey and data analysis, competitor research and sales enablement, creating internal and customer-facing slides, and generally supporting Marqeta’s thought leadership efforts. You will also gain valuable exposure to other parts of the Marketing organization through your work, supporting our Product Marketing, Content, and Demand Generation functions, among others. 

Please note: This is a market and competitive research-focused role, NOT a data science or business intelligence (BI) engineering position.

We work Flexible First. This role can be performed remotely anywhere within Ontario or British Columbia, Canada. We’d love for you to join us!

The Impact You'll Have
  • Design, implement, and monitor customer and market surveys in order to ensure Marqeta’s thought leadership around relevant industry trends
  • Monitor industry and competitive trends and identify their impact to Marqeta and its customers
  • Conduct data analysis and create visual representations via charts and slides of findings on market and competitive trends 
  • Support deal activities by sourcing and compiling relevant data points,  creating charts, and writing talk tracks for customer and prospect calls
  • Field research requests utilizing first and third party sources to enable fast response times to internal stakeholders
  • Ensure sellers have the tools they need by maintaining our competitive platform via news updates, win-loss reports, competitor battlecards, and more
Who You Are
  • Minimum of 3+ years of professional experience
  • Strong analytical skills with an ability to analyze large data sets and identify key trends
  • Ability to represent large, complex ideas in executive ready presentations and in written word
  • Extremely inquisitive and enjoy learning new industries and trends
  • Positive attitude, team player, adaptable, resourceful, and self-starter who is able to work independently
  • A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Nice-To-Haves
  • Prior banking, fintech, or card issuing experience

Compensation and Benefits

Marqeta is a Flex First company which allows you to choose your best working environment, whether that be from home or at a company office. To support Flex First, we calibrate pay to a competitive value according to working location. 

When determining salaries, we consider several factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior experience, and work location. 

The new-hire OTE range for this position, reflected in CAD, is: $93,300 - $116,600
