THE WORK:

As an Infrastructure Platform Engineer, you will play a critical role in helping to advance Ripple's production infrastructure and release pipelines. Platform Engineers at Ripple are a hybrid of systems and software engineers who support the design and lifecycle of our hosted products. We are responsible for providing global and highly available infrastructure that enables Ripple to be a global leader in cross-border payments.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Work with your mentor, and overall Infrastructure Platform team to build tools, drive automation, streamline observability backends and instrumentation for reducing operational friction and increasing engineering efficiency.
  • Architect, deploy, and maintain Ripple’s multi-region, multi-provider service platforms (with an emphasis on security, resiliency and observability)
  • Create solutions for unique technical challenges faced by Ripple involving PKI, secret management, geographic failover, data replication, availability, and platform resiliency
  • Participate in the leadership of DevOps-first principles within the organization
  • Explore avenues to integrate AI in improving team processes, streamlining infrastructure and enhancing response to high impact events.
  • Research promising new tools and technologies, push the team to experiment and evolve

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • Experience in at least one programming language like Python, Java or Golang
  • Excellent debugging, problem solving, and analytical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management.
  • Foundational knowledge of DevOps tools and processes like Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Git, CI/CD, Infrastructure or Cloud (hands on experience is a plus).
  • Foundational knowledge of
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate or PHd program, preferably in a computer science or related field.
  • Coursework / previous intern experience with Observability tools such as Grafana, Kibana, Datadog or similar.
  • Have contributed to projects involving AI-driven solutions, requiring a foundational understanding of AI concepts and a willingness to learn and apply them
