The mission of the Cloud & Infrastructure Department is to provide a robust and scalable technology foundation for the organization.  

THE OPPORTUNITY

Aritzia is growing, and our Technology Cloud & Infrastructure team is growing with it. This is a unique opportunity to be part of the team responsible for providing technical foundations in support of Aritzia’s cloud computing and automation needs. As the Senior Architect, Cloud & Infrastructure, you will focus on designing, implementing, and managing systems and services that run on cloud platforms. You will bridge the gap between complex business problems and solutions, both on prem and in the cloud, and collaborate closely with internal Technology and business teams to understand their requirements and provide world-class cloud-based solutions on an enterprise scale. THE ROLE

As the Senior Architect, Cloud & Infrastructure, you will:

  • Support with establishing a clear vision and strategic direction for Cloud & Infrastructure at Aritzia
  • Identify and deliver innovative cloud solutions that meet business needs for today and tomorrow
  • Develop designs and roadmaps for current and future deployments
  • Collaborate with Technology, Cybersecurity, and business stakeholders to develop an architecture vision and strategy that is aligned with Aritzia’s objective
  • Define well-architected cloud application and infrastructure requirements
  • Architect scalable, highly available and secure application solutions that leverage cloud services
  • Implement structure testing that ensures functionality and identify and address deficiencies
  • Launch and maintain Cloud and Infrastructure services and solutions
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for cloud-based solutions

THE QUALIFICATIONS

The Senior Architect, Cloud & Infrastructure has:

  • Proven skills, education, and/or applicable certifications:
    • AWS Certified Solutions Architect; Azure Solutions Architect Expert; Google Certified Professional – Cloud Architect preferred
    • Experience architecting and migrating to Cloud Platforms (e.g., Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services)
    • Experience with infrastructure-as-code and continuous integration tools (e.g., Terraform, GitHub, Jenkins, Ansible, Azure DevOps Pipelines)
    • Strong scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash, Ruby, Go, etc.)
    • Experience designing and solutioning hybrid network infrastructure to enable a distributed and secure global presence
    • Expert level experience working with Azure Virtual Desktop and MS Terminal Services preferred
    • Experience designing and solutioning cloud application and services with SD-WAN and ZTNA technologies
    • Experience designing and solutioning cloud application and services with UCaaS technologies
    • Experience designing and solutioning Data Warehouse and Data analytics environment
    • Experience designing and solutioning large distributed systems; gathering requirements and understanding objectives from a user’s perspective
    • Effective communication skills (written and verbal) to properly articulate complicated cloud concepts to Technology and business partners
    • Deep technical background (operating systems, networking, application performance management, load balancing, security systems, etc.)
  • A commitment to learn and apply Aritzia’s Values, Business and People Leadership principles

THE COMPENSATION  

The typical hiring range for this position is $150,000 - $200,000 CAD per year. The final agreed upon salary may vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience. Additionally, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
