As a QA Automation Engineer, you will establish automated testing infrastructure and uphold the superior quality of Aritzia’s digital and technology products and solutions. THE ROLE
As a QA Automation Engineer, you will:

Implement structured test automation, ensuring the functionality and quality of our applications while identifying and addressing any deficiencies

Define our test automation approach, enhancing our ability to establish test suites through automated testing to ensure the quality of our application releases as we scale our digital and technology platforms

Develop and execute automated test scripts across waterfall and agile software development methodologies to validate product functionality and ensure high-quality releases through reliable automation

Document, track, and report bugs, working closely with development teams to identify root causes and support with the identification of necessary workarounds

Support with launching and maintaining products and solutions, ensuring deployment best practices that balance speed and stability are followed to ensure smooth and efficient rollouts with no disruption to operations

Support with implementing monitoring solutions to track performance, availability, and user experience

Support with gathering incident and problem reports and help identify and solve issues
THE QUALIFICATIONS
The QA Automation Engineer has:
-
Proven and best-in-class skills, education, and/or applicable certifications
-
Strong ownership mindset, with the ability to design and maintain reliable, maintainable, and reusable test automation
-
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with focus on cross-functional teamwork and quality delivery
-
For our Enterprise Technology team:
-
Background in enterprise environments with multiple integrated platforms and high-volume system integrations
-
Hands-on experience with testing complex backend systems such as SAP ECC/CAR, WMS, Workday, Centric PLM, combined with a strong background in SAP testing methodologies and end-to-end business process validation

Hands-on experience with SAP test automation tools (preferably Tosca)

Experience with API testing using tools like Postman – performance testing exposure (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner) is an asset
-
Experience with Cyprus for automating web-based integrated platforms is an asset
-
Familiarity with GitHub-based CI/CD workflows within an Azure-hosted infrastructure

Deep knowledge of data-driven testing, test design, and reusable test case architecture

Working knowledge of JavaScript or Python to extend automation capabilities and support testing across integrated systems

For our Digital Technology team:
-
Experience with creating automation scripts in TypeScript
-
Experience with Cypress, Jest or any other relevant automation test framework

Experience with BrowserStack or any other automation provider
-
Experience with TestRail, Jira and Excel
-
A commitment to learn and apply Aritzia's Values and Business and People Leadership principles
THE COMPENSATION
The typical hiring range for this position is $50,000–$100,000 CAD per year. The final agreed upon salary may vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience.
