$90,710 - $122,726
Indigenous relationship-building experience rewarded
Build and foster relationships with Indigenous communities, officials and organizations across Canada to develop and execute external-facing initiatives that advance Indigenous food security and financial sovereignty.
You’ll also maintain detailed records to support reporting requirements and prepare effective outreach communications and materials for diverse audiences.
What you’ll do:
- Develop relationships with Nation and government officials, Indigenous organizations and communities, and internal stakeholders
- Facilitate connections between prospective and current Indigenous customers and internal partners
- Ensure FCC events are inclusive, accessible and culturally aware, and that sponsorships and partnerships are responsive to opportunities and challenges in Indigenous agriculture and food
- Develop and execute external engagement initiatives by analyzing opportunities and issues
- Prepare communication materials and make presentations to a variety of audiences, including senior leadership, the Board and external partners

- Expert communicator who can clearly convey ideas to diverse audiences in spoken and written formats
- Project management pro who can organize initiatives to ensure effective execution and follow-up
- Creative thinker with the ability to provide solutions and find opportunities
- Analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize research findings into actionable insights
What you’ll need:
- A bachelor’s degree in social sciences, business or commerce and at least three years of experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Experience working with and for Indigenous social and economic development priorities
- Deep knowledge of Indigenous community structures and the history and current challenges facing Indigenous agriculture
- A passion for working with and contributing to the prosperity of Indigenous Peoples, communities and organizations
