Role Summary
The HR Operations Manager – Americas is a critical member of the regional HR team responsible for ensuring smooth execution of day-to-day HR operations across the U.S., Canada, and Latin America.
This role drives operational excellence through hands-on ownership of core HR processes, data integrity, compliance, and employee experience initiatives. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and thrives in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
What You Will Do
- Core HR Operations
- Own and oversee HR operations for the Americas region - including but not limited to employee data and documentation management, inquiry resolution, and operational support processes such as vendor management and purchase order administration.
- Lead and develop a high-performing HR Operations team, providing coaching, setting priorities, and ensuring effective service delivery across regional workflows.
- Partner closely with the HR Business Partner (HRBP) function to support execution of people strategies, resolve complex employee lifecycle issues, and ensure alignment between operational processes and business needs.
- Manage all immigration processes across the Americas in partnership with external counsel and internal stakeholders.
- Design and maintain robust processes to support accurate HRIS data entry and ongoing data integrity across systems.
- Partner with Payroll teams to ensure accurate and timely processing of regional payroll.
- Monitor and report on key HR operational metrics (e.g., data accuracy, ticket resolution) to drive service excellence and continuous improvement.
- Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and automation across HR workflows to enhance efficiency and employee experience.
- Employee Lifecycle & Experience
- Lead and continuously improve onboarding and offboarding processes, partnering with global teams to ensure a seamless and compliant employee experience.
- Drive execution of regional employee culture, engagement, and recognition activities (e.g., Americas Emergency Response Team (AERT) announcements, regional events, recognition communications).
- Manage the Office Site Leader program, supporting local leaders to foster office engagement and ensure operational alignment.
- Compliance & Governance
- Own compliance efforts for the Americas region, including employment regulations, recordkeeping, and audit readiness.
- Partner with Legal on compliance updates, policy changes, and ad-hoc regulatory projects to ensure alignment with evolving legal requirements.
- Coordinate region-specific operational programs, including benefits administration and vacation tracking (in partnership with Benefits)
- Projects & Strategic Initiatives
- Lead regional HR projects, ensuring alignment with global initiatives and local needs.
- Support and help implement regional Diversity & Inclusion initiatives in partnership with the global D&I team.
What You Will Bring
- 5 - 7+ years of progressive HR operations experience, preferably within a global or regional function, with direct experience leading teams and managing cross-functional partnerships.
- Deep understanding of HR practices across the Americas, including compliance, employment regulations, and regional nuances.
- Proven ability to manage core HR operations such as immigration, payroll coordination, HRIS transactions, onboarding/offboarding, and data integrity.
- Strong working knowledge of employment law, recordkeeping, and HR compliance requirements.
- Effective communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and experience collaborating with HR, Legal, Payroll, and business leadership.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with SuccessFactors or similar HRIS platforms strongly preferred.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and deliver across multiple initiatives and regions.
