The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) will focus on developing a partnership with assigned client groups and facilitates open communication with leadership, advancement of the associate value proposition and educates associates on how they contribute to Cytiva-wide objectives and deliverables. 

This role owns the coordination and implementation of HR processes, policies and programs regarding recruitment, retention, organization development, talent development, associate engagement, on-boarding, succession planning, management training, compensation and benefits, HR projects and act as a liaison to our payroll provider as needed.

This position is part of the Human Resources team and will be onsite in Burnaby. At Cytiva, our vision is, to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.

What You Will Do:

  • Performance & Talent Management: Ensure effective and timely talent management processes within Cytiva Canada and the Aseptic Filling business. (performance and development objectives, succession planning, and talent movement). Partner with business leaders on initiatives that engage associates and promote retention of key talent. Lead the organizational review processes that evaluate structure, competency, knowledge, and talent gaps. Develop specific strategies to fill the gaps.

  • Talent Acquisition: Partner with business leaders within Cytiva Canada and the Aseptic Filling business to ensure effective, timely recruiting and effective on-boarding of new hires. Champion the company’s values and culture, and continue Cytiva’s ability to attract, engage and retain a high-performance team needed to enable growth. Drive a talent acquisition and management strategy that integrates succession planning methodology for key contributor and management positions. Plan, align, and execute strategies and objectives around talent development to meet growth requirements of the business.

  • Employee Engagement: Partner with business leaders within Cytiva Canada and the Aseptic Filling business on initiatives that engage associates and promote retention of key talent. Understand associate needs and facilitate effective communication channels between leaders and associates. Sponsor and drive events and programs designed to increase employee engagement.

  • Employee Relations: Support compliance with local labor code. Follow all Danaher/Cytiva and local policies including the Ethics & Compliance Program. Assure employee data and records are accurately maintained. Collaborate with and advise business leaders on investigations and disciplinary process regarding employee relations and performance related issues. Ability to maintain confidentiality with highly sensitive employee relations matters is required.

  • Compensation & Benefits/Payroll/Regional Projects: Partner with the Cytiva Centres of Excellence to efficiently leverage, implement, and communicate programs and processes including merit review, equity planning, bonus planning, promotions, and various key projects as assigned within the region.

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; 5+ years HR Generalist experience, with some experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Proven and demonstrable experience in driving the HR function within a fast-paced, regulated environment. Proficient in the use of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and HR systems.

  • Outstanding client service orientation: ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive situations with solid judgement and discretion.

  • Effective communicator in a variety of settings from one on one to large groups, utilizing attentive listening skills and adjusting the message to fit with the audience; balances needs of business partners to identify, build, and deliver upon opportunities while considering cultural and ethical factors in making fair decisions.     

  • Utilizes critical thinking and managerial courage to ask the right questions and analyze situations with information from diverse sources to uncover root causes and evaluate the risks and benefits of solutions. Champion potentially unpopular ideas.

  • Strong orientation to accomplish objectives in a measurable and sustainable way. Use resources and critical thinking to remove obstacles and achieve results for self and others.

    

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

  • Ability to travel – <10% travel per business needs

The salary range for this role is $80,500 - $115,000 CAD. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
