Job Overview:

We’re currently rapidly expanding our product team, and that means we need a larger UX/UI department.  That means we need someone to lead them, and we’re hoping that someone is you.

As Head of UI/UX, you’ll be responsible for growing and managing the team, and ensuring everyone works to the same set of guidelines.  You’ll establish the processes you know work to ensure the team follow all the latest best practice, and thanks to you, our users will have a consistent experience across our whole suite of apps.

What Your Work Will Entail:

  • Leading and mentoring a team of UX and UI designers
  • Hiring, onboarding, and performance management within the team
  • Liaising with product managers to assign UX/UI resources to projects
  • Establish style guides and best practices
  • Setting up and managing user research processes so we know we’re building what our customers need, not just what we hope is a good idea  
  • Build processes to ensure the team work smoothly and consistently across all projects
  • Reviewing UX and UI work across the company to ensure high standards

What You Bring To This Role:

  • Extensive experience in UI/UX design, and experience of leading a design team
  • Ability to collaborate with people across a wide range of teamsdd
  • Strong analytical skills for interpreting user data
  • An ability to look at things both at the high level - setting the product design vision - and the detail, ensuring everything we do is pixel-perfect
  • Willingness to get your hands dirty - if we need more UX/UI cycles, you can muck in
