About the role

The Director of Indirect Sales oversees and directs the sales activities of the Indirect Sales team in North America, focusing on Distribution, Value Added Resellers, Solution as a Service, and ISV networks. This role defines the strategic direction of the business and ensures effective communication with executives and managers to address sales needs. Responsibilities include assigning account responsibilities, setting financial objectives, and leading key negotiations with customers and partners.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage critical partnerships to drive joint initiatives and product launches.
  • Ensure methodical partner and deal management with milestone management and KPIs.
  • Meet/exceed financial objectives for the business unit.
  • Ensure accurate and timely sales forecasting and financial reporting.
  • Establish and maintain top-level relationships with strategic partners.
  • Define and reinforce sales processes.
  • Coordinate with other functional management on business strategy and decisions.
  • Define territory assignments and quota responsibilities.
  • Manage sales support functions and contribute to pricing decisions.
  • Communicate corporate direction and objectives to staff.
  • Define staffing levels and identify talented candidates for potential hire.
  • Manage performance through setting objectives, providing feedback/coaching, and evaluation.
  • Motivate employees to excel and address performance issues.
  • Develop staff skills to meet business needs.
  • Support company programs and ensure adherence to company policies.
  • Administer compensation actions within company guidelines.
  • Manage multiple stakeholders and drive creative solutions to achieve shared goals.
  • Lead teams through complex relationship management activities with a clear vision.
  • Explore new business opportunities and revenue streams through strategic partnerships.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate Verifone solutions into partner platforms.
  • Define and track KPIs for ISV partnerships, measuring impact on revenue, customer acquisition, and product adoption.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to internal stakeholders on partnership progress.
  • Maintain short-range and long-term sales plans, including an annual business plan.
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of potential sales to meet business unit expectations.
  • Maintain organized account records using Salesforce.com.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Experience, and Skills: 

  • 10 years of product sales experience and 5 years of management experience.
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is preferred; a master's degree is preferred.
  • Industry and product knowledge.
  • Leadership and strategic planning.
  • Ability to navigate complex partnership and solution opportunities.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Sales management and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Salesforce.
  • Language requirements as defined by region.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
