Arena Intelligence is the open platform for evaluating how AI models perform in the real world. Created by researchers from UC Berkeley’s SkyLab, our mission is to measure and advance the frontier of AI for real-world use.
Millions of people use Arena Intelligence each month to explore how frontier systems perform — and we use our community’s feedback to build transparent, rigorous, and human-centered model evaluations. Leading enterprises and AI labs rely on our evaluations to understand real-world reliability, alignment, and impact. Our leaderboards are the gold standard for AI performance — trusted by leaders across the AI community and shaping the global conversation on model reliability and progress.
We’re a team of researchers, engineers, academics, and builders from places like UC Berkeley, Google, Stanford, DeepMind, and Discord. We seek truth, move fast, and value craftsmanship, curiosity, and impact over hierarchy. We’re building a company where thoughtful, curious people from all backgrounds can do their best work. Everyone on our team is a deep expert in their field — our office radiates excellence, energy, and focus.
About the RoleThis is a foundational role for someone who operates at the intersection of engineering, go-to-market, and internal operations. You will build, automate, and scale the systems that connect Arena’s teams — creating the shared infrastructure that allows a lean organization to operate with the precision, visibility, and throughput of a company many times its size.
While revenue and GTM systems are a core focus, this role extends beyond sales — acting as the connective tissue across Business Development, Enterprise, Product, Engineering, Legal, Finance, and People. You will design the workflows, data models, and automations that allow these teams to operate in sync, eliminate friction, and make faster, higher-quality decisions.
On the Model Labs side, you will systematize how we manage relationships, reporting, and revenue across a concentrated base of global AI labs — while building internal workflows that connect research, delivery, and commercial outcomes. On the Enterprise side, you will architect and deploy the lead engine, pipeline infrastructure, and CRM systems that power revenue growth — while ensuring seamless handoffs across marketing, sales, product, and delivery.
You are not inheriting a system — you are building the operational backbone of the company from scratch, with the autonomy to define how teams interact, how data flows, and how work gets done across Arena.
Core ResponsibilitiesRevenue Systems & Cross-Functional WorkflowsBuild and maintain integrations across core systems, creating a unified data layer that eliminates manual work and keeps teams aligned.
Design end-to-end workflows across the contract lifecycle: intake → pricing → engineering handoff → delivery → QA → invoicing.
Connect GTM, product, and engineering systems so what is sold, built, and delivered stays tightly coupled and measurable.
Build internal tools and automations for coordination, handoffs, approvals, and resourcing.
Automate dashboards and reporting for real-time visibility into account health, delivery progress, renewals, and bottlenecks.
Own revenue reporting and forecasting infrastructure with clear visibility for leadership and Finance.
Architect and deploy inbound and outbound pipeline systems — from lead capture and scoring to routing and conversion.
Turn marketing signals (traffic, community, inbound) into qualified pipeline with automated enrichment and prioritization.
Build and optimize a scalable enterprise sales infrastructure, including pipeline logic, forecasting, and system integrations.
Create lifecycle workflows spanning prospecting → sales → onboarding → delivery to ensure continuity across teams.
Own the GTM and operational tech stack end-to-end.
Ensure high data integrity across systems powering reporting and automation.
Define and document workflows, schemas, and system architecture for scale.
Drive build vs. buy decisions with a focus on speed, flexibility, and durability.
Technical Builder
You are proficient in Python or JavaScript and comfortable building production-grade integrations using APIs, webhooks, and data pipelines. You’ve built systems that power real business workflows across multiple teams.
Systems Thinker
You think in terms of end-to-end workflows, not isolated tools. You understand how data and processes should flow across an organization and can design systems that reduce friction and increase leverage.
AI Fluency
You understand the AI landscape — model providers, evaluation, benchmarks, and workflows. You can engage with technical stakeholders and apply AI meaningfully to internal operations and GTM systems.
High Agency
You operate without a playbook. You proactively identify broken or inefficient workflows and fix them. You are comfortable making decisions with incomplete information and moving quickly.
Business & Operational Intuition
You understand pipeline metrics, conversion funnels, and revenue systems — but also how they connect to product delivery, resourcing, and company operations. You can translate ambiguous business needs into concrete systems and tooling.
