About the role

We are hiring a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to accelerate Healthie’s customer onboarding and subscription management systems. You’ll build seamless, high-impact user experiences that drive activation and retention, working across our Rails backend and React frontend while integrating with third-party services.

As a key member of the Customer Engineering team, you’ll develop scalable, intuitive solutions that reduce friction in the customer onboarding journey. Your work will focus on optimizing user flows, automating subscription management, and ensuring seamless data synchronization across business platforms. You’ll design onboarding experiences that reduce time-to-value, implement flexible subscription tools, integrate Stripe for payments and invoicing, and streamline data flows between Healthie’s CRM and analytics tools.

This role is ideal for a self-starter with deep experience in Rails and React, a strong understanding of third-party integrations, and a passion for supporting business teams in achieving growth goals. You thrive in fast-paced environments, working cross-functionally to translate complex challenges into efficient, user-friendly solutions that drive measurable impact.

  • This is a full-time, Remote position  with preference for Hybrid based in our NYC HQ 
  • Must be located in the U.S. and U.S. work authorization is required.
  • The salary range is $167,000 - $197,000 per year + annual company bonus and benefits

About you

  • You have 6+ years of experience as a full-stack engineer, with a strong track record of building and shipping features in Ruby on Rails and React.
  • You bring hands-on expertise in integrating and optimizing payment systems, with direct experience working with Stripe or similar platforms for subscription management and billing automation.
  • You have implemented and maintained integrations with CRMs like Salesforce and HubSpot, as well as analytics platforms such as Mixpanel, ensuring seamless data synchronization across business tools.
  • You have deep technical expertise in Rails, modern React (including hooks and functional components), SQL, and database design. You understand REST APIs and web application architecture, and you write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
  • You are a problem solver who thrives in fast-paced environments, working both independently and collaboratively to drive meaningful impact.
  • You are an excellent communicator who values strong working relationships, whether with colleagues, customers, or stakeholders.
  • You have a bias toward execution, proactively tackling challenges and ensuring nothing stands in the way of delivering results.
  • You are mission-driven, passionate about healthcare, and motivated by the opportunity to improve patient outcomes and provider experiences through technology.
