What you'll be doing

As a Group Product Manager on the Day-to-Day Banking Acquisition Channel Management Team for Assisted Channels, you will manage and implement the one-year client acquisition plan for all consumer Chequing and credit card products. Assisted channels include CIBC Banking Centres, Contact Centres, and CIBC Mobile Specialists. You will be responsible for supporting key client acquisition and revenue enhancement strategies to maximize profitability and ensure CIBC remains competitive in the marketplace for Day-to-Day Banking products. This includes managing & monitoring key business metrics (new chequing and credit card sales, credit card approval rates, activation rates, and utilization rates), evaluating and sizing new chequing and credit card sales opportunities across different client segments, and identifying opportunities within existing processes and systems for improvement and optimization. You will work with high-performing, highly productive, business, and diverse teams to successfully implement programs and tactics that drive revenue growth while maintaining a strong focus on client experience.

How you'll succeed

  • Strategic Planning - Lead the development and implementation of client acquisition strategies to achieve targets for all Chequing and credit card products. Identify and implement new opportunities for Chequing and credit card client acquisition. Determine feasibility and financial impact while contributing to CIBC’s client experience objectives.  Optimize client acquisition tactics and marketing budget to ensure profitable return on investment.

  • Analytical - Understand and interpret complex information, identify patterns and trends in new or strategic areas, and develop recommendations, often with minimal direction in order to respond to urgent business priorities.

  • Leadership - Manage and lead within a matrix organization, including the ability to bring about change at a senior level. Manage and own final accountability for client acquisition Assisted Channels strategic plan and initiatives for all Chequing and credit card products. Continuously monitor and interpret business results against key performance targets to recommend growth initiatives.

  • Relationship Management - Collaborate with key partner stakeholders to ensure alignment with the client acquisition strategies being implemented. Establish rapport and work effectively with internal and external partners including Retail Channels, Client Strategy, Risk Management, Finance, Legal and Compliance, Sales Support, Marketing, Technology, other lines of businesses, and business partners.

You have strong analytical skills and have a proven ability to execute net new initiatives.  In-depth knowledge of Chequing and Credit Card business, financial services, and product management experience will be strong assets.
