Do you consider yourself to be detail organized and analytical? Want to join a company that supports continued learning and development? The Special Markets Division is looking for a Group Contract Specialist to join their close-knit team.
In this role you will be responsible for the following:
1. Contract Development/Administration (50%):
-
Be responsible for all new contract templates and Insurance Benefit Summaries (IBS). You will develop and maintain new group policy Contract templates for all HQ-administered business, incorporating product specific features and administration arrangements.

Develop and maintain templates for Insurance Benefits Summaries (IBS) and Insurance Booklets for distribution to insured employees and assist in the modification of these templates for policy-specific circumstances.

Create and maintain Third Party Administration (TPA) agreement templates, incorporating TPA-specific and policy-specific variations
2. Marketing Support (15%)

Review and provide technical, creative and practical input to Marketing materials such as brochures, applications, rate sheets, websites and special Direct-Marketing specific material.

Liaise with Marketing, Customer Service and Claims staff in the development of new products and new marketing initiatives
3. Leadership and Product Expertise (35%):
-
Providing general mentorship to the team consisting of Group Contract Analysts and Senior Group Contract Analysts

In complex cases, assist with any inquiries regarding any discrepancy between the contract, benefit set up and adjudication of claims.

Provide information and training to team members as well as other department staff about contractual provisions of new products and revisions to existing product and provide general guidance as necessary.
What We are Looking for:
-
University degree PLUS four to five years of Group Insurance work experience
-
In the absence of a university degree, six to seven years of Group Insurance work experience; or relevant work experience in contractual legal or notary fields of work.

Acquired or working towards FLMI designation from LOMA

Strong Communication Skills by phone/written correspondence/email

Strong Organizational Skills

Analytical skills and attention to quality

Team player ability to work and communicate with various departments

Proven ability to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines and work independently with minimal supervision

Thorough knowledge of all aspects of Solutions administration procedures, products and contractual requirements

Thorough knowledge of group insurance terminology, benefits, and contract provisions
-
Knowledge of industry guidelines and legal requirements and restrictions concerning group insurance benefits
-
Sound current technical computer knowledge and strong familiarity MS-Windows based applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat; as well as remote work applications.

Compensation:
The typical hiring range for this position is from $65,000 to $75,000 per annum; the base pay offered is based on location and may vary depending on skills, job-related knowledge, experience, and internal equity. All permanent employees of iA are also entitled to an annual bonus.
