Position Title: Functional Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled S4HANA Finance Functional Engineer with a specialization in S/4 FICO. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with SAP S4HANA Finance modules, coupled with a comprehensive understanding of the functional processes and configuration. They will be responsible for ensuring that our SAP S4HANA Finance solutions are configured, implemented, and maintained.
Accountabilities:

  • Requirements Analysis: Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and document FICO configuration and documenting requirements.
  • Solution design: Understanding of the landscape and solutions utilize in our regions to support the Treasury, Banking, Asset management and Project systems.
  • Configuration and Implementation: Maintain and implement configuration changes to the S4HANA design to support the requirements.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Develop test scenarios and conduct thorough testing to validate the accuracy and completeness of SAP S4HANA Finance configurations in compliance with FICO requirements.
  • Business Partnering: Serve as a trusted advisor to technology teams, providing technical support to drive informed decision-making. Ensure Cross-functional collaboration with other departments impacted by the controlling requirements.
  • Documentation and Training: Prepare comprehensive documentation i.e. functional and design documentation to capture the requirements and the configuration completed for S4HANA and all surround systems.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of changes in the S/4 landscapes and evaluate any impacts on the SAP finance solutions. Proactively identify opportunities for system enhancements and process improvements to ensure ongoing compliance and efficiency.


Qualifications:

  • SAP S4HANA experience is a must and a Bachelor or master's degree in information technology a benefit
  • Extensive experience +/- 8-10 years in SAP and surround systems support the SAP FICO and Project systems with a particular emphasis on SAP S/4HANA implementation and optimization, demonstrating a deep understanding of its functionalities and implications for finance processes.
  • Proven track record of collaborating effectively with Information Technology groups, contributing to cross-functional teams to drive successful SAP S/4HANA and finance transformation projects.
  • Extensive experience working on Global Manufacturing large-scale projects, demonstrating the ability to navigate complexities and deliver results within specified timelines.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of finance principles and best practices, coupled with a proficiency in utilizing finance tools and systems to enhance operational efficiency.

  • Strong project and change management capabilities, adept at managing multiple projects with conflicting priorities and delivering excellence under pressure.
  • Independent and tactical approach to problem-solving, coupled with a collaborative mindset conducive to building professional relationships and working effectively in team environments.
  • Strong understanding of technology operations, including software development lifecycle, cloud services, and IT infrastructure
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic, and ambiguous situations, demonstrating resilience and adaptability in the face of change.
  • Experience in risk management on a global scale, with a focus on identifying potential issues and implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Demonstrated data analytics capabilities, showcasing the ability to derive insights, propose alternative solutions, and make recommendations to drive business outcomes.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Finance Portfolio Product Services the functional engineer will play a pivotal role in leading technology finance transformations and strategic initiatives pertaining to the S4HANA transformation.

Compensation Package : $85,500.00 - $114,000.00 CAD annually + bonus eligibility
The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience, skill set, education/training, and other organizational needs.
