About the Team

Do you wish to transform the employee experience by making work more personal and productive for employees? Workday is looking for skilled software engineers to join our Workday Journeys team within the Workday Talent product organization.
In Talent, we strive to simplify and extend Workday to each employee in a personalized way, enabling employers to better engage and support employees while personalizing and streamlining their work. Workday Journeys enables organizations to build personalized experiences that guide their people through transitions and critical moments.
We need inquisitive and passionate engineers who proudly contribute clean code and collaborate optimally with various team members. About the Role

• Write and maintain robust, efficient and extensible code using a varied set of languages, frameworks and tools including Xpresso, React, Typescript, GraphQL, NodeJS, Cypress and Jest

• Deliver reliable software through continuous integration, automated testing, and in-depth code & design reviews

• Capture & analyse data to make data driven decisions

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ideate, prototype, plan and deliver exciting capabilities

• Advocate & champion best practices in both software engineering & agile development

• Build proof of concepts to help shape the future success of our product

• Mentor, coach and learn from peer teammates through workshops, pair programming, code/design reviews and documentation

• Be an excellent teammate, placing the team's collective success as the highest priority

About You

• You are an experienced technical contributor

• You see software development as a team sport & thrive in a highly collaborative and agile environment

• You have experience designing performant, scalable and resilient solutions

• You enjoy learning new technologies, languages, tools, and frameworks

• You have strong knowledge of Object Oriented design and development

• You have a strong sense of accountability and will use your knowledge and experience to directly influence the product strategy and implementation

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field

• 5+ years of experience building enterprise level web applications

• Object-oriented development experience; building SOLID applications, developed in languages such as; Java, Kotlin, C#, Python or Javascript

• Front-End development experience; creating RESTful Web applications, developed within the React ecosystem

Additional Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to build strong, trust based cross-functional stakeholder working relationships

• Experience with WCAG and accessible UI development

• Experience with Node.JS and/or Jenkins

• Experience with data analytics; Jupyter Notebook, Wavefront, Tableau, Hive, Spark, etc.

Workday Pay Transparency Statement 

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Recruiters can share more detail during the hiring process. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things.
