Pixieset is hiring a Software Developer, Full Stack to join our team in Platform, the team that builds and operates the communication services that support email delivery, notifications, abuse prevention, and operational reliability across Pixieset’s products.

You’ll contribute to backend services and APIs that help keep communication scalable and trustworthy for over 1.6 million photographers and creative professionals worldwide. Working alongside experienced developers, Product, and QA, you’ll build features, learn how our services operate in production, and take increasing ownership of your work from development through release and ongoing support.

Your Impact

  • Develop and implement product features across the full stack, with a focus on backend development using PHP (Laravel), while also working with JavaScript (Vue.js/React)
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code to support scalable backend systems and user-facing functionality
  • Contribute to user-facing improvements, backend optimizations, and scalable system enhancements
  • Help improve and maintain the Pixieset product architecture, APIs, databases, and infrastructure
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices
  • Learn and apply new technologies to enhance performance, security, and the development process

Role Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience as a Full Stack Software Developer building custom web applications
  • Experience with PHP and preferably its frameworks (Laravel, Yii, or Symfony)
  • Experience with JavaScript and preferably Vue.js, React, jQuery, ES6, Webpack
  • Experience with relational database management (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.)
  • Good understanding of basic data structures and algorithms, and web technologies, including HTTP, RESTful services, Docker, and cloud platforms such as AWS

The typical salary range for this position is CAD $79,800 - $107,100 annually. Salary offered will be based on skills, experience and market data.
