Frontend Engineer -Lighthouse React Engineer


Shift4 is expanding globally and seeking a key frontend engineer that will work on strategic platform initiatives on a Cloud Native platform. The engineer will play a critical role within a cross functional Scrum team within a large Scaled Agile delivery group.

This role is onsite and can be based at any of the following Shift4 locations:  Tampa, FL / Atlanta,GA / Center Valley, PA / Las Vegas, NV / Morrisville, NC. Relocation assistance may be available. 


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain responsive and scalable front-end applications using React & Ember.js.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.
  • Debug and resolve issues in both React and Ember applications.
  • ·Participate in code reviews, ensuring high code quality and adherence to company standards.
  • Secure your code with automated tests
  • Work with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in front-end development.
  • Conduct research into new technologies & champion the RFCs


Requirements:
 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering or equivalent or experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 3+ years of experience as a frontend developer with a focus on React or other Single Page Applications framework.
  • Strong understanding of JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integrating front-end applications with backend services.
  • Knowledge of modern build tools (Webpack, Vite, etc).
  • Understanding CI/CD and being able to use it daily (Gitlab CI/CD, Github Actions, Jenkins, etc)
  • Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills.

Additional Experience that is a plus to have:


Hands-on experience with Ember.js or willingness to learn quickly.

Hands-on experience with Single-SPA framework or similar tools for managing micro-frontends.

Familiarity with TypeScript.

Experience with testing frameworks such as Jest, React Testing Library, Mocha, etc
