What are we looking for? Our Video Editor has a knack for the following skills:
Communication:
- Facilitate the creation of video materials by collaborating efficiently with all departments
- Work closely with our creative team to deliver content that will exceed our client's expectations and meet industry standards
Analytics:
- Balance and grade color, and mix and level audio within Adobe Premiere
- Oversee and maintain the content ingest, archive, and storage processes
- Manage deadlines and project manage effectively
Business:
- End-to-end video editing of unscripted and scripted content, ensuring alignment with entertainment industry trends
- Quickly assemble edits and implement notes from creatives and clients
- Ability to self-manage and organize workloads around tight deadlines
- Create content as needed for various social media platforms
- Organize and effectively manage video footage library
- Transform existing client creative into assets for DMM case studies and new business opportunities within the entertainment and/or gaming sectors
You'd be a great fit for this role if you have:
- 3+ years experience as a video editor
- Advanced knowledge of Mac OS and Adobe Creative Cloud apps including Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Media Encoder and After Effects as well as 3rd party software
- Ability to self-manage and organize workloads around tight deadlines
- Knowledge about different social media and digital video platforms and how videos work on each
- Proactive, positive team player attitude, with the ability to help guide projects from ingest to delivery
- Flexibility to adapt with changing timelines and deliverables
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of editing workflows.
- A sharp eye for timing with an ability to "wow" both clients and colleagues alike
- Availability to work between 9am and 6pm PST with flexibility for routine weekend coverage
