Sixone’s mission is to enable a world where blended plastics products can be circularly recycled back into existing supply chains instead of being sent to landfill. Sixone is developing technologies to enable advanced recycling of blended plastics and plastic-based products. The company’s technology applies process digitalization and advanced analytics to build a depolymerization reactor tailored to enable efficient plastics recycling. The company aims to fundamentally change the economics behind current recycled materials through advanced processing and materials technologies.

Role Overview

Reporting directly to the CFO, you will analyze and forecast financial, economic, and operational data to guide our strategic growth. You will provide senior management with the data-driven insights needed to make critical decisions regarding investments, capital expenditures, and market positioning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Analysis & Forecasting: Collect, compile, and analyze financial info and economic indicators to forecast short, medium, and long-term financial positions.

  • CFO Support: Work closely with the CFO to prepare board materials, investor updates, and financial models for strategic planning.

  • Strategic Decision Support: Provide timely data to support decisions on capital expenditures, investments, cash flow management, and potential future acquisitions.

  • Investment Evaluation: Analyze the financial implications of proposed projects, evaluating alternatives against our core business objectives.

  • Trend Monitoring: Evaluate industry, economic, and market trends including revenues, expenses, labor market trends, inflation, and currency exchange rates.

  • Metric Tracking: Analyze complex datasets involving hardware manufacturing costs, pricing strategies, margins, and other relevant financial metrics.

  • Support functions for finance and business development departments to assess opportunities and source information on an ad-hoc basis.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related quantitative field.

  • Experience: 2 to 4 years of experience in financial analysis, ideally within a high-growth environment.

  • Software Skills: Strong proficiency in Excel/financial modeling tools; experience with QuickBooks data extraction is a major plus.

  • Industry Focus: Direct experience or strong familiarity with tech manufacturing, clean tech, or companies managing both hardware and software business models.

  • Startup Mindset: Highly analytical, adaptable, and comfortable building models from scratch in a fast-paced environment.
