About the Position

Based in Western Canada, and reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, the Financial Analyst will be part of the Western Canadian CFO team, with personnel in Burnaby, Chilliwack, Saskatoon and Manitoba. The successful applicant will have a focus on monthly accounting duties required by a recent acquisition.

 

We are open to candidates in Winnipeg, Saskatoon, or Moose Jaw.

 

The primary responsibilities include:

·       Participate in the month-end close process, with a focus on a recent acquisition.

·       Research, identify, and communicate key variances relating to financial and operational metrics.

·       Contract review, reporting & forecasting for major line of revenue.

·       Improve upon existing reports and implement new reporting as requested by management.

·       Participate in annual budget process.

·       Provide ad-hoc financial and operational analysis to support business decisions.

·       Liaise between finance and operations concerning transaction processing in Business Management Systems.

·       Involvement in merger & acquisition integration and accounting.

·       Various other assignments, as required.

 

Position Requirements

·       Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field

·       Progress towards a CPA designation is preferred, however a combination of education and experience will be considered.

·       4+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience

·       Advanced MS Excel skills with practical use in finance related position

·       Ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities

·       Ability to effectively communicate with varying levels of the organization – including Executives, Operations, Sales & Internal Auditors.
