As part of the Finance Domestic Bank, you’ll be working in a high-impact environment responsible for the financial accounting and reporting of ING’s Retail activities in the Netherlands. About your new role role
We are looking for a Financial Controller who will:
- Be in control of your reports—both from an internal control and regulatory perspective
- Support the continuous improvement of regulatory reporting processes
- Act as a trusted advisor on financial compliance and reporting matters
- Prepare, coordinate, and reconcile regulatory and statutory reports.
- Monitor and evaluate financial controls, reporting anomalies and supporting process improvements.
- Translate financial regulations into actionable procedures and data requirements.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of financial policies and guidelines.
- Provide insights through data analysis and support decision-making with clear, accurate reporting.
- Ensure compliance with internal control frameworks and external regulations.
- Collaborate across teams to maintain high-quality reporting standards and continuous improvement.

Furthermore, you have:
- Current residency in the Netherlands
- A Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- 3-4 years of experience in financial control, accounting, or regulatory reporting in a banking environment
- Strong understanding of regulatory reporting frameworks.
- Experience with data tools (SQL, SAS etc.) and financial systems (GFRS etc.)
- Good relationship skills with stakeholders from different levels and areas within the bank
