We're looking for a pro-active and purpose-driven Product Owner to join our Retail Finance Change team on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract. Job Description
JOB TITLE: Finance Product Owner – 12 month Fixed Term Contract
SALARY: as per pay range
LOCATION: Leeds Wellington Place
ADDITIONAL LOCATION(S): Halifax, Bristol, Cardiff, Newport
HOURS: Full Time, 35 hours per week
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least
two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites

Day to day responsibilities involve:
Own and manage the flow of work through Kanban system, ensuring priorities are clear and aligned with business value.
Collaborate with people across Retail Finance and the wider Group to understand needs, define requirements and translate them into actionable user stories.
Lead prioritisation of initiatives, balancing strategic goals with operational demands.
Support the delivery of both change initiatives and Python-based solutions, ensuring readiness for development and deployment.
Facilitate regular engagement with colleagues to gather feedback, manage expectations, and ensure successful adoption of delivered expectations.
Monitor delivery metrics (e.g. cycle time, throughput) to spot potential for continuous improvement.
Champion a culture of transparency, collaboration, and outcome-focused delivery.
Lead agile ceremonies, including planning, backlog refinement and retrospectives.
What you’ll need
Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role in a change or technology delivery environment.
Strong understanding of agile methodologies and experience working in cross-functional teams.
Excellent stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing and aligning diverse groups.
Experience working on both business change and technology delivery projects - ideally including data or Python-based solutions.
Ability to translate complex requirements into clear, prioritised deliverables.
A proactive, adaptable approach with a focus on delivering value and driving continuous improvement.
Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes in a fast-paced workplace.
Line management experience.
