About the Role

As an Accountant at Fortis Games, you will support the financial operations for our rapidly scaling studio. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, payroll processing, and tax filings. This role will closely collaborate with the Finance team to support various accounting functions and contribute to the studio's overall financial health.

Contract Fixed-Term position: 6 months

What You’ll Achieve:

  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll for team globally
  • Manage invoicing and coordination with accounts for monthly close activities.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and support audit processes.
  • Manage relationships with third party accounting firms in several countries.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
  • Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and systems.

What You’ll Need to Be Successful:

  • Understanding of basic accounting principles (IFRS and GAAP).
  • Proven hands-on experience with accounting processes
  • Fundamental understanding and familiarity with Google Workspace (Sheets) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel).
  • Experience with the following software: Workday Adaptive, NetSuite, SAP Ariba.
  • Strong attention to detail and understanding of processes and policies.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and ability to identify multiple paths to achieve outcomes.
  • Experience working on complex projects with multiple stakeholders, timelines, and budgets.
  • Self-motivated and proactive with demonstrated creative and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
