ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Finance Associate at LayerZero Labs, you’ll be instrumental in managing and optimizing our financial processes. We are looking for a detail-oriented, proactive finance professional with experience in tech or high-growth startup environments. You’ll support critical functions across financial planning, reporting, analysis, and compliance. This role is ideal for someone with a strong accounting or finance background who thrives in a dynamic environment and can drive impact from day one.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards. 
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in developing, monitoring, and updating budgets, forecasts, and financial projections to support strategic planning.
  • Cash Flow Management: Support cash flow analysis and planning to ensure efficient capital allocation.
  • Accounting & Reconciliation: Oversee day-to-day accounting tasks, including ledger reconciliations, expense tracking, and accounts payable/receivable processes.
  • Compliance: Ensure all financial practices align with local and industry regulatory standards, specifically within the crypto and blockchain sectors.
  • Data Analysis: Perform financial analysis and generate insights to inform decision-making across the organization.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including HR, Operations, and Product, to align financial goals with company objectives.


ABOUT YOU

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in a finance role, ideally within tech or a high-growth startup
  • Proficiency in financial software (e.g., Netsuite, QuickBooks, Oracle, or similar)
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong familiarity with financial modeling
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Familiarity with crypto and blockchain book keeping and accounting a plus
  • CPA preferred.
