Otter Co-op is now accepting applications for a Full-Time Feed Production Associate at our Feed Mill located in Langley, BC.

 What you’ll do:

  • Ensure accurate receiving and inventory for all grain orders.
  • Product transfers and filling product bins.
  • Loading bulk truck equipment and operating text lines.
  • Mix all product required for sacking or retail bulk sales using Mattis System.
  • Operate a pelleting equipment.
  • Record all mixes in accordance with HACCP requirements.
  • Comply with all CFIA and all other Federal regulations, both in quality and safety.
  • Contribute to the Team in living the Corporate Values of Integrity, Community and Excellence.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Responsible for Team Member’s engagement and ensuring the Team in living the Corporate Values of Integrity, Community, and Excellence.

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Feed Manufacturing Operations and:

  • Preference for candidates who hold their Power Engineering Class 5 Steam Ticket Certificate or is willing to uptain within first 18 months of employment .
  • Must have math skills, basic computer skills.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • The ability to effectively prioritize and handle multiple time demands.
  • Strong customer service, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Motivation and ability to work under pressure and in a busy environment is required.
  • Must be committed to a SAFE working environment.
  • Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions.
  • Able to perform physical job duties including lifting, pushing, pulling up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be available 7 days a week to work a variety of shifts including day shifts and night shifts
  • This position is based at the Feed Mill in Langley, though it may require on some occasions to travel and work at other location as business needs arise
