Position Overview
Applied Systems, Inc., a worldwide leader in insurance technology, is currently searching for a Rating Technician-Auto Operations (Technical Analyst) to f ocus on the development of carrier rate books pertaining to various insurance carriers across Canada. In this role, you will develop, test, and maintain underwriting rules and rates (including coding) as they pertain to each of the insurance carriers for use in the entire suite of our products. After verifying the quality of the carrier rate books, work is submitted for Quality Control.

What You'll Do
- Data entry of rates and territories
- Stay educated on changes related to underwriting guidelines
- Assist the Development team with creating and testing new system updates and applications
- Assist Quality Control team with testing as required
We're Excited to Learn More About You
Your experience may include:
- 0-2 years of experience as a Technical Analyst.
- Ability to demonstrate and maintain a complete understanding of underwriting guidelines
- Ability to learn the full suite of Applied Rating Services products
- Comfortable around technology/strong computer skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent self-management skills, as well as the ability to work well in a team environment
- Strong analytical skills, including high attention to detail
- Strong follow-through and organizational skills
- Passionate about meeting goals and deadlines
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Programming, or related field.
You may have other skills or credentials, including:
- Experience with Excel, XML, and Data Analysis tools
- Experience with JIRA or similar tools.
- Bilingualism (French & English) an asset
- Insurance industry exposure.
Location
- Can work hybrid/remote or from an Applied Systems office.
