As we scale rapidly, we're seeking an Engineering Manager who codes alongside their team and leads by example.

The Role: A True Player-Coach

This is not a meetings-only management role. We need someone who writes production code regularly, reviews PRs daily, and stays deeply connected to our technical stack. You'll be in the codebase every day—debugging issues, shipping features, and setting the technical bar high. If you're looking to step away from code, this isn't the right fit. Your Impact

Hands-On Technical Leadership

  • Write production code regularly—you'll own features from start to finish
  • Lead by example through high-quality code contributions and thorough PR reviews
  • Jump into the codebase to unblock your team and solve critical technical challenges
  • Prototype solutions, spike complex features, and validate architectural decisions through code
  • Maintain deep familiarity with our systems—you'll be on-call rotation with your team
  • Debug production issues and optimize performance bottlenecks directly
  • Drive frontend excellence and modern UI/UX practices across the team

Team Leadership & Growth

  • Build and nurture a high-performing engineering team that values quality and ownership
  • Mentor engineers through pair programming, code reviews, and technical discussions
  • Champion a remote-first culture that promotes collaboration and work-life balance
  • Lead hiring efforts to attract exceptional engineering talent who share our hands-on philosophy
  • Foster a culture where everyone, including you, ships code regularly

Strategic Execution

  • Partner with Product and Design to translate business objectives into technical roadmaps
  • Define and track team OKRs that directly support company goals
  • Make thoughtful trade-offs between speed, quality, and technical debt
  • Establish engineering standards through example—your code sets the bar
  • Bridge the gap between design vision and technical implementation
What We're Looking For

Essential Experience

  • 5+ years building production software, with 2+ years leading engineering teams (tech lead ok)
  • Current, hands-on expertise with modern frontend technologies (React, TypeScript) and full-stack development
  • Strong track record building polished, performant user interfaces
  • Active coding practice—you're shipping production code today, not just remembering how
  • Experience across the entire stack, with particular strength in frontend or full-stack development
  • Excellence in both written and verbal communication, especially in remote settings
