The Engineering Team is at the forefront of innovation and technical excellence and plays a pivotal role in driving the company's technological advancements and ensuring product excellence. The department's responsibilities span the entire product lifecycle, focusing on continuous improvement and optimization.
Your responsibilitiesDriving the design, development, and testing of cone crusher liners to ensure high performance and durability
Reviewing crushing chambers and preparing chamber optimizations based on customer data
Conducting failure analysis and implementing corrective actions to improve product reliability and lifetime
Preparing proposal design documentation
Acting as technical resource in projects providing technical advice and direction during meetings and other interactions (verbal or written). Provides technical assessments and recommends solutions
Contributing in research and product development tasks such as concept development, design validation with prototypes
Operating cross- functionally with other groups as required and may necessitate quick responses and collaborations at different hours of the day to meet the local needs of the customer
Supporting and being comfortable with multiple competing parallel priorities that require technical review and comment with potential for undefined scope
What you bring
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Mining, Manufacturing, Materials Science)
A minimum of 5 years of work experience specifically with Cone Crusher liners; manufacturing or foundry experience is an asset
Experience with crusher process and operations as well as knowledge about wear mechanisms, failure analysis an asset
Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools like SolidWorks (Advanced level), AutoCAD, PLM tools (Enovia, Teamcenter) and knowledge of design codes like ASTM, ASME, API, IS, AWS, ISO, etc.) as well as document control experience
Ability to understand the economic drivers of a mine and provide support to optimize value generation
Ability to prepare clear communications in the form of presentations and technical reports
Skilled in collaboration with a broad range of stakeholder, from customers to organization leaders
Proven ability to operate independently and in multi-discipline teams and comfortable dealing with regular competing and changing priorities
