The EHS Program Manager is responsible for leading the development, coordination, and ongoing management of environmental, health, and safety programs across the organization. This role supports the safe, compliant, and effective operation of workplace safety initiatives, including hazard identification, risk mitigation, incident prevention, and regulatory compliance.

This position helps ensure strong EHS program control, reliable safety practices, effective training and reporting, and continuous improvement in workplace safety performance that support business continuity and operational excellence. The EHS Program Manager acts as a trusted partner to operational and leadership teams, balancing day-to-day program oversight with strategic planning for risk reduction, compliance, and safety culture

The EHS Program Manager is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and management of comprehensive environmental, health, and safety programs across the organization. This role ensures compliance with all applicable Federal regulations and promotes a culture of safety and sustainability. The EHS Program Manager will work closely with various departments to identify hazards, assess risks, and implement appropriate control measures. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Program Development & Implementation: 

  • Develop and implement EHS policies, programs, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of EHS programs and make necessary adjustments to improve performance.
  • Lead the development, execution and continual use of safety training programs and initiatives.

Regulatory Compliance: 

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental, health, and safety regulations.
  • Stay updated on changes in legislation and ensure the organization's EHS programs are aligned with current standards
  • Prepare and submit required regulatory reports and documentation.

Training & Education: 

  • Oversee EHS training programs for employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Promote a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement.

Emergency Response & Preparedness: 

  • Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures.
  • Coordinate emergency drills and ensure the organization is prepared to respond to EHS incidents.

Sustainability Initiatives:  

  • Promote and implement sustainability initiatives, including waste reduction, energy efficiency, and pollution prevention.
  • Work with leadership to develop and achieve sustainability goals.

Reporting & Documentation:  

  • Provide regular reports to EHS Director on the status of EHS programs and key performance indicators

Security Initiatives: 

  • Promote and implement security initiatives.

Qualifications: 

  • Education: Certificate in OH&S
  • Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in EHS, with a proven track record of developing and implementing successful EHS programs.
  • Certifications: NCSO, CSO, CRSP

Skills:

 Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and compliance requirements.

  •  Project Management
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in EHS management software and reporting tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
