What we do
Kentik is looking for a Director of Revenue Accounting to own and scale our revenue operations. You will lead revenue recognition, billing, collections, and compliance with ASC 606 while partnering cross-functionally to support our fast-growing business. This role is hands-on and strategic, giving you the opportunity to build best-in-class processes that enable Kentik’s continued success. This role will report directly to the Kentik Controller
The Kentik accounting team implemented Netsuite in 2022 and has 5 years of audited financial statements from Big 4 auditors
What you'll do
- Own revenue recognition policies and ensure compliance with ASC 606 and GAAP
- Develop and implement scalable financial controls for revenue recognition and reporting
- Lead the monthly and quarterly revenue close process, ensuring accurate and timely reporting
- Oversee the order-to-cash cycle, including invoicing, collections, and cash application
- Collaborate with Sales, Legal, and Finance to review customer contracts, structure deals, and support the sales team by assisting with customer onboarding requests and related processes
- Optimize revenue processes through automation and system enhancements (NetSuite, Salesforce, etc)
- Partner with FP&A to support revenue forecasting and analytics
- Lead and develop a high-performing revenue accounting team, mentoring and supporting a direct report

- 10+ years of accounting experience, with 5+ years specifically focused on revenue accounting in an Enterprise SaaS environment
- Located in the San Francisco Bay Area (preferred)
- Deep expertise in ASC 606 revenue recognition and contract review
- Experience leading order-to-cash processes and revenue automation
- Proficiency in NetSuite, Salesforce, Celigo, or other revenue automation tools
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment

Our compensation philosophy encompasses a fair program for all in order to attract, engage and retain talented individuals who will drive our business and wow our customers.
The compensation range for this position is: $180,000 - $225,000. This range reflects the low and high end of the U.S. compensation range Kentik reasonably and generally expects to pay the hired candidate in this role. The actual compensation offered may be lower or higher than the stated range depending on various factors, including but not limited to:
- Experience with the skill sets required for success
- Demonstrated competencies and potential
- A geographic market-based approach
