About The Job
We are seeking a dynamic, hands-on Director, Human Resources to lead and scale our HR function in a fast-paced technology environment. This role is ideal for an experienced HR leader with a strong background in the technology industry who is comfortable operating both strategically and operationally.
The successful candidate will be a roll-up-your-sleeves leader who actively executes HR initiatives, partners closely with leadership, and supports day-to-day people operations while building scalable processes for growth.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Operate as a hands-on HR leader who directly executes critical HR activities while building scalable frameworks for future growth.
- Apply practical experience from the technology sector to support engineering-driven teams, product organizations, and fast-changing business needs.
- Provide day-to-day guidance on employee relations, performance management, and operational HR matters.
- Lead by example in a “player-coach” capacity, balancing strategic planning with direct execution.
- Partner closely with senior leadership to address real-time organizational challenges in a high-growth tech environment.
- Anticipate organizational needs by recommending and implementing impactful HR programs that enhance engagement, performance, and development.
- Navigate global compliance requirements with confidence, leveraging hands-on experience as a global HR generalist to guide policy and decision-making across jurisdictions.
- Lead the global employee lifecycle, encompassing talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, compensation, and compliance.
- Ensure HR systems and tools (HRIS, payroll, benefits, onboarding, and time-off management) are optimized to meet business needs.
- Drive performance management programs, aligning them with compensation strategies and learning and development initiatives.
- Oversee employee development, identifying growth opportunities and learning pathways to support career progression and skill-building.
- Foster a positive and engaging employee experience, leading internal communication and cultural initiatives that align with Corinex’s values.
Required Qualifications
- 5–10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a management or leadership role
- Demonstrated experience working in the technology industry (e.g., software, hardware, engineering, energy tech, or high-growth tech companies)
- Proven ability to operate as a hands-on HR leader who actively executes programs and solves operational issues
- Strong experience supporting technical teams and fast-paced product organizations
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and compliance of BC Canada
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to influence, build trust, and drive change across all levels of the organization
- Experience with HR systems and data-driven HR practices
Preferred
- CPHR certification is a plus
- Global HR experience
