We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Director of Finance (Reporting & Consolidation) to join our Finance team in Langley, BC.  

Reporting to the Vice President, Finance & Enterprise Planning, you will be responsible for managing consolidated financial reporting and overseeing the financial close across the organization.  In this role, you will provide technical accounting guidance to ensure proper accounting practices and accurate financial reporting, as well as overseeing external audits and acquisition due diligence.   

You will be responsible for:

  • Managing financial close and reporting across all Pattison Food Group entities; overseeing and approving financial reporting and analysis to support executive-level financial close meetings. 
  • Approving financial consolidation for 10+ entities to support internal reporting, including the preparation and presentation of divisional results. 
  • Leading external audits by managing workflow, prioritizing projects, and coordinating resources; implementing continuous process improvement initiatives. 
  • Providing technical research and application of accounting guidelines and preparing detailed technical accounting memos to support accounting practices and significant transactions. 
  • Updating accounting policies as required by new guidance and ensuring that all practices align with organizational accounting standards. 
  • Developing and implementing financial reporting strategies to modernize reporting and improve processes. 
  • Overseeing the tax team including prioritizing work, coordinating resources, and supporting audits. 

You have:

  • A CPA/CGA designation.
  • 10+ years of financial reporting & consolidation experience within a large-scale organization.  Previous experience in retail, health, wholesale, distribution and/or public sector is considered an asset.
  • Experience with large-scale ERP and financial reporting systems.
  • Experience with leading and managing a team.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced experience with MS Excel.
  • Experience with Power BI is considered an asset.

Compensation Details:

$129,225.00 - $172,300.00

The compensation offered for this position will take into consideration location, education, skills, experience, and other factors.
