Job Description

We are looking for a talented individual…

To join CLEAResult Canada as the Director of Sales & Outreach. Reporting directly to the Sr. Director of the Canadian Commercial & Industrial (C&I) Portfolio, you will lead our Canadian sales & outreach team to drive growth and participation across CLEAResult's energy efficiency programs nationwide. This role oversees a team of 25-30 technical sales professionals, setting strategic direction, monitoring market trends, and building strong pipelines to achieve and exceed client targets. The Director will act as the regional subject matter expert, representing our products, solutions, and industries while influencing key client decisions.

Success in this role requires both visionary leadership and hands-on expertise—developing outreach strategies, strengthening industry partnerships, and ensuring teams are equipped with the tools, training, and methodologies to perform at the highest level. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in business development and technical sales, proven leadership in the energy sector, and the ability to collaborate effectively across functions. Strong communication skills and a consultative approach with commercial, industrial, and agricultural customers are essential.

This position offers the opportunity to shape strategy, grow a high-performing team, and play a pivotal role in advancing energy efficiency initiatives across Canada.

You’re a great match if you can…

  • Lead and develop a team of 25-30 technical sales professionals, fostering a collaborative culture and driving achievement of annual client targets.

  • Provide strategic direction by monitoring market trends, identifying customer needs, and building a strong sales pipeline aligned with regional growth plans.

  • Act as the subject matter expert for the Canadian region, representing products, solutions, and industries to influence client decisions.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to align strategy across outreach, marketing, training, and education initiatives.

  • Implement lead tracking, advanced sales methodologies, and data-driven tools (including Power BI) to improve prospecting, performance tracking, and overall efficiency.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with utility partners, trade allies, and industry stakeholders to expand program visibility and participation.

  • Deliver tailored energy solutions to commercial, industrial, and agricultural customers through a consultative sales approach.

  • Identify and address barriers to program participation, recommending improvements to ensure goals are met or exceeded.

  • Develop playbooks and training programs to onboard, coach, and grow team members for sustained success.

Exciting candidates have...

  • At least 15+ years in business development or technical sales, including 5+ years in leadership.
  • Strong background in the energy industry and with commercial/industrial customers is an asset
  • Technical or engineering degree/background and existing C&I/trade ally network is an asset
  • Proven success in customer engagement strategies, campaigns, and trade ally partnerships.
  • Visionary leader with the ability to create actionable plans and inspire teams.
  • Skilled collaborator across cross-functional and multi-location teams.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce CRM (implementation, use, and development).
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills for diverse audiences.
  • Ability to convey technical concepts clearly and effectively.
  • Willingness to travel within Canada (short trips, up to once/month).
