About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a strategic function at one of the fastest-growing companies in the data industry! In this position, you will play a crucial role in shaping and executing our content strategy to support our overall marketing and business goals. You will oversee the creation of high-quality, engaging, and relevant content that resonates with our target audience, nurtures leads, and accelerates the customer journey. Additionally, you'll collaborate across different teams to ensure that the content aligns with business needs and drives measurable results.

As a Content Marketing Director at Starburst you will

  • Develop, plan, and execute content strategies that align with company objectives, with a focus on demand generation, lead nurturing, and customer retention.
  • Identify target personas, ensuring content is tailored to address their pain points, interests, and needs.
  • Manage the hiring, development, and retention of a high-performing content marketing team.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product, and sales teams to ensure that content supports their objectives and drives business results.
  • Oversee the creation of a variety of content and facilitate its distribution across multiple channels.
  • Advocate for content-driven campaigns that enhance brand awareness, engagement, and customer advocacy.
  • Set and achieve performance metrics for content engagement and growth.

Some of the things we look for:

  • 8+ years of experience in B2B software environment with 5+ years of experience leading content marketing, Data and AI experience a plus.
  • Passion for technology and ability to articulate complex technical concepts in ways that make sense to a range of personas with varying levels of technical expertise (experience with open-source technologies is a plus).
  • You deeply understand (and use) data to make better decisions and improve performance
  • Track record of developing and executing successful content strategies and campaigns that drive business growth.
  • You equally embrace being an individual contributor as well as a people manager
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience working for start-ups and scale-ups
  • Experience in the data management space

  • Anywhere in US

Starburst is dedicated to maintaining fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range provided for this role reflects the minimum and maximum targets for candidates across all U.S. locations and could be inclusive of variable compensation, such as commission or bonus. All employees receive equity packages (ISOs) and have access to a comprehensive benefits offering. Actual compensation packages are determined based on relevant skills, experience, education and training, and specific work location. $176,000$220,000 USD
