We are seeking a Director to join our growing tax team and lead global income tax accounting (ASC 740), corporate income tax compliance, and forecasting. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape the global tax strategy of a high-growth, asset-intensive, public technology company delivering infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS). The role will be instrumental in driving timeliness, accuracy, efficiency, and insight across our income tax lifecycle while partnering cross-functionally with key stakeholders in Finance, Legal, and Accounting.

Role SummaryYou will own the quarterly and annual ASC 740 tax provision process, manage U.S. federal and state corporate income tax compliance, and lead tax forecasting and planning activities. You will be responsible for interpreting tax technical issues, identifying risks and opportunities, supporting cross-border tax operations, and helping drive strategic decisions — including those involving M&A and transfer pricing. Success in this role requires strong technical tax expertise, cross-functional collaboration, and an aptitude for process improvement in a fast-paced public company environment.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the preparation and review of the quarterly and annual income tax provision in accordance with ASC 740, including deferred taxes, uncertain tax positions (FIN 48), and effective tax rate analysis.
- Oversee corporate income tax compliance for U.S. federal and state jurisdictions, coordinating with external tax advisors as needed.
- Develop and manage forecasting for tax expense and cash taxes, collaborating with FP&A and other finance teams.
Support M&A activities, including tax due diligence, structuring, and post-acquisition integration.
Monitor changes in tax law and regulations, assess business impact, and advise on necessary adjustments to strategy or reporting. - Evaluate and support transfer pricing policies, intercompany arrangements, and global tax documentation requirements.
- Evaluate and support international tax planning strategies.
- Partner cross-functionally to analyze the tax implications of contracts, financing, asset deployments, and strategic transactions.
- Collaborate with Accounting and Legal on tax-related disclosures in public filings (10-Q, 10-K).
- Manage responses to tax audits and inquiries from federal and state authorities.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation using tax technology tools.
- Serve as a key tax resource to the broader business, translating complex technical guidance into actionable insights.

- 10+ years of progressive experience in corporate income tax, including ASC 740 tax provision and U.S. tax compliance.
- Background in Big 4 public accounting and/or experience in-house at a large multinational public company required.
- Strong command of U.S. GAAP, including ASC 740 and related SEC disclosure requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and manage tax forecasts in collaboration with FP&A and business leaders.
- Experience with international tax, M&A, and transfer pricing is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of tax systems (e.g., OneSource Tax Provision, Corptax, Alteryx) and data-driven tax processes.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex tax matters to both tax and non-tax audiences.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.

“The base pay and target total cash for this position range from $182,000 to $242,000 and $227,000 to $303,000, accordingly. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position includes a discretionary bonus, equity, and a comprehensive benefits package.”
