We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Linux, AWS, containerisation, networking, CI/CD, and scripting. Additionally, a background in development and architectural knowledge are highly desirable.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the containerised infrastructure that supports our software development and production environments using ECS and Serverless. The platform runs on AWS and utilizes technologies such as Lambda, ECS, Docker, Terraform, and heavy CI/CD pipelines. You will work closely with development teams to ensure that our applications are deployed and running smoothly in production. You will also be responsible for taking our ECS platform from the beginning, owning the development, automation, operation, and support of a complete self-service platform that enables our Agile Engineering teams to provision on-demand environments and implement continuous delivery pipelines for new services.

Design and implement containerised infrastructure solutions on AWS using ECS

Automate the deployment and scaling of our applications using containerisation technologies

Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines along with essential quality gates

Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner

Help engineering teams in designing state of the art cloud architecture and embrace the DevOps methodology

Build and maintain tools for application development and deployment

Contribute to Infrastructure and application architectural design patterns

Implement and improve monitoring and operational tools and processes
What you bring
-
5+ years of strong experience with AWS and cloud platforms (IAAS, PAAS)
-
5+ years of strong experience with Linux administration
-
Proficient in containerisation technologies such as Docker and ECS/Kubernetes
-
Cloud architecture knowledge - Event Driven, Microservices, SaaS, Mobile
-
Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions and Circle CI
-
Experience in deploying & maintaining infrastructure using Terraform
-
Development background, with knowledge of at least one programming language
-
Monitoring, logging and tracing of large scale web services
-
Knowledge of best practice in securing cloud workloads and preferably auto remediation of flagged items

Bachelor and/or Masters of Computer Science, Engineering, IT or related
Advanced knowledge of English is required, because you will, most of the time, interact in English with external parties (clients, suppliers, candidates, external partners, etc.), interact in English with internal parties (colleagues, internal partners, stakeholders, etc.), as part of this position's main responsibilities, given its national scope.
Salary Range: 52,500 – 106,000 CAD Annual
