Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced technical leader for our DevOps organization. This role will combine people management skills and hands-on technical skills to shape the future of our software development methodology and infrastructure. We have a very exciting and challenging journey and DevOps is a key aspect of that journey.
Essential Functions
- Technical Lead and People Manager for a DevOps team.
- Design, evolve, and scale DevOps best practices across CI/CD, infrastructure, reliability, security, and DevSecOps.
- Act as a strategic leader and visionary, balancing long-term DevOps strategy with near-term execution.
- Lead and grow the DevOps team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and professional development.
- Mentor team members and support their professional growth.
Minimum Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience as a technical people manager leading DevOps team of 5+ engineers.
- At least 8 years experience as a DevOps engineer.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
- Expertise with scripting (Bash, Python)
- Work effectively with team members and stakeholders across multiple time zones.
- Proven ability to provide technical leadership and influence beyond direct reports.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with cloud based systems (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Experience with CI/CD tools and pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab)
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Podman)
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform)
- Experience with CI/CD and security tooling, including Git/GitHub/GitLab, Jenkins, Black Duck, and Coverity.
- Working knowledge of software supply chain security, including SBOM and CVE management.
- Experience working in a SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) environment.
- Proven experience leveraging AI-assisted tools to improve DevOps efficiency and quality.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
Total Target Cash (TTC) Range: 118,377.21 - 157,996.89 - 197,496.11 CAD Annual
