The Opportunity: 

As a Product DevOps Engineer in Euna Procurement, you will play a pivotal role in our dynamic GovTech Solutions Software company, overseeing the strategy and execution of SRE, DevOps, CloudOps, FinOps, and DevSecOps for the procurement product line. Collaborating closely with development teams as well as corporate CloudOps and SRE, you will lead the design, architecture, implementation, and maintenance of infrastructure, ensuring the swift and efficient delivery of applications to production while upholding high standards of quality and reliability. Your expertise in cloud infrastructure administration, automated deployment pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code tools will be crucial as you serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for your product line and offer support to your peers.

 

Responsibilities: 

  1. Product-Centric Infrastructure Design and Implementation: Design and implement robust infrastructure tailored to the unique requirements of your assigned product line. Manage cloud-based resources, utilizing AWS (and potentially Azure), and implement automation tools to optimize resource management.
  2. Cross-Platform Continuous Integration and Deployment (CI/CD): Maintain CI/CD pipelines, automating the building, testing, and deployment processes. Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless configuration and safe, efficient rollout of changes.
  3. Proactive System Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Create monitoring for production systems to preemptively identify potential issues and swiftly address them. Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, ensuring system reliability.
  4. Mentorship and Collaborative Support: Mentor and train junior team members (including cross-training developers), leveraging your experience to guide them on proper strategies and best practices. Collaborate closely with development teams, fostering an environment where software is deployed rapidly and efficiently without compromising quality.
  5. Automation and Infrastructure-as-Code Excellence: Drive the implementation and management of automation tools and infrastructure-as-code practices, enabling agile, reliable, and scalable deployment of software applications.
  6. Security and Compliance Leadership: Implement robust security and compliance measures, collaborating with security and compliance teams to uphold the integrity of the company's infrastructure and data. Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.

 

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in cloud infrastructure administration or related field.
  • Expertise in AWS cloud-based environments (bonus for Azure expertise).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell, Python, Ruby, or Bash.
  • Experience with infrastructure automation tools Terraform and Ansible. (ARM Templates nice to have)
  • Proficiency with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with logging, monitoring, and alerting tools like DataDog, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Mezmo, TrackJS, etc.
  • Solid understanding of networking and security fundamentals.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
  • Certifications in AWS, Azure, or other relevant technologies are a plus.

 

Location

This position will be hybrid 3 days/week in our Oakville, ON office.
