Job Description
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Demand Planner to join our Supply Chain team. The Demand Planner will be responsible for developing accurate demand forecasts by leveraging and analyzing historical sales data, statistical models, and market insights. This role will work closely with sales and marketing teams to identify trends, seasonality, and promotional impacts, and will play a key role in our SIOP process by translating forecasts into consensus demand plans. The Demand Planner will also play a critical role in ensuring product availability, optimizing inventory levels while supporting cross-functional planning.
TASKS, DUTIES, & GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop, maintain, and improve statistical demand forecasts using historical data, market intelligence, and advanced planning tools.
Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, seasonality, and drivers of demand variability.
Collaborate with commercial, sales, and marketing teams to gather input on promotions, new product launches, and market conditions.
Participate in the monthly SIOP (Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning) process by providing accurate demand forecasts and facilitating consensus forecast discussions.
Monitor forecast accuracy (MAPE, bias) and continuously improve forecasting processes and models.
Prepare and present demand planning insights, trends, and recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders.
Ensure that forecast data is effectively translated into planning systems to support supply, production, and inventory planning.
Develop reporting dashboards using tools such as Tableau to track forecast accuracy, demand trends, and key planning metrics.
Support scenario planning and “what-if” analysis to assess the impact of promotional events, price changes, and market shifts on future demand.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Technical Skills, and/or Previous Experience:
BA/BS required, preferably in business, supply chain, statistics, economics, or related field.
3–5 years of demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain analytics experience in a CPG or manufacturing environment.
Experience with advanced planning systems (e.g., SAP, APO, Kinaxis, OMP) Net Suite a plus.
Ability to perform statistical modeling and forecasting techniques (e.g., moving averages, exponential smoothing, regression models).
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, charts, data modeling).
Experience with data visualization and reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar business intelligence platforms.
Strong mathematical or statistical knowledge

Capable of presenting data and analyses in a clear and concise manner
Ability to work collaboratively and to manage a wide variety of projects with tight deadlines
Very detail oriented
Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills, to both internal and external audiences
WORK ENVIRONMENT
HQ-based position in El Segundo, CA
Limited travel may be required
**Annual salary commensurate with experience**
The starting annual base pay for this role is between USD $85,000 and $95,000. The actual base is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. The role may also be eligible for bonus and benefits.
