The DBS Engineer is responsible for The DBS Engineer provides support and application of Danaher Business System across their assigned area by leading initiatives that improve business results to meet the requirements of our customers. They lead and facilitate Kaizen events to drive change in a fast paced and "ever changing" environment leveraging their strong interpersonal, professional, and collaborative skills. They have an ability to work with associates at all levels, utilizing a very "hands on“, Gemba based approach to applying and teaching DBS. Facilitates and leads the deployment and maintenance of Danaher Business System (DBS) at Fajardo, Puerto Rico.
This position reports to the Sr Manager, DBS Site and is part of the DBS located in Cytiva Fajardo, Puerto Rico and will be an on-site role.
What you will do:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or business administration. Master’s Degree preferred.
- Two (2) to four (4) years' experience in a manufacturing environment, in operations and/or process improvements.
- EIT or PE License preferred. Active member CIAPR. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certified. Black Belt certification preferred. Strong computer Literate
- Experience in leading or facilitating Kaizens or DBS initiatives (Microsoft Office, Project Management, Statistics) Ensures +QDIP is following the DBS methodology and holds accountable team players. High Kaizen facilitation skills and capable of keeping focus a team. Ability to teach, coach and mentoring others
- Ability to manage Site Kaizen Funnel and KPI Bowler discussion to identify high impact Kaizen Events, plan, execute and sustain those events. Able to support multiple departments simultaneously, such as Supply Chain, Operation, Quality and EH&S within multiple Business Units. Apply DBS Fundamentals Tools and any other tools from the DBS Tools box.

Must be objective and measurable, eg. education, years of experience per GCRF job leveling guidelines (do not cap years of experience), specific systems proficiency or industry experience. Do not include soft skills.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: if applicable for role
- Ability to travel – list specifics 5% travel, overnight, within territory or locations
- Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 25lb, any other physical requirements
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Two (2) to four (4) years experience in a manufacturing environment,
- in operations
- and/or process improvements.

The annual salary range OR the hourly range for this role is 49,000.00 - 86,000.00 USD Annual. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
