You will partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Insurance stakeholders to identify trends, prioritize opportunities, and deliver well-scoped analyses, experiments, and dashboards. This role is execution-focused with growth opportunities to own larger cross-functional projects over time.
- Own and deliver well-scoped analytics projects end to end: define the question, write SQL, analyze results, and present clear recommendations.
- Design and analyze A/B tests and quasi-experiments with guidance; document methodologies, assumptions, and learnings.
- Build and maintain reliable dashboards; define and document core metrics and implement basic data quality checks.
- Synthesize data from multiple sources into concise narratives for product and business reviews; support OKR tracking.
- Contribute to lightweight data models and analytical datasets in collaboration with data engineering and analytics engineering.
- Document work, follow best practices for reproducibility, and participate in code and analysis reviews.
- 2–4 years in data science or analytics with demonstrated business impact.
- Strong SQL, including complex joins, window functions, CTEs, and query hygiene.
- Proficiency in Python or R for analysis, experimentation, and reproducible workflows.
- Working knowledge of statistics: hypothesis testing, experiment design basics, confidence intervals, and regression fundamentals.
- Experience with BI tools such as Looker or Tableau and building dependable dashboards.
- Clear written and verbal communication with the ability to explain technical topics to non-technical audiences.
Bonus Points
- Exposure and usage of AI Assisted coding IDEs like Cursor or Github Copilot
Domain experience in insurance, insurtech, fintech, or adjacent regulated industries. - Familiarity with Looker, Amplitude, Google Analytics, Marketo, Salesforce, Segment, or Zuora.
- Experience with analytics workflow tools such as dbt or Airflow.
- Exposure to causal inference methods, experimentation platforms, or GenAI-assisted analytics workflows.
