The Data Business Analyst will play a crucial role in managing and advocating for our data ingestion processes that support our email campaign initiatives. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, polished customer-facing communication skills, and the ability to work closely with our software development team. The ideal candidate will be adept at conveying complex technical concepts to non-technical users and ensuring seamless data transfer and ingestion processes for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the software development team to understand and advocate for the data ingestion processes.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for external customers regarding data transfer and ingestion processes.
  • Communicate technical concepts around data to non-technical users effectively.
  • Define and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs.
  • Develop and maintain detailed product requirements and specifications.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements and translate them into actionable tasks for the development team.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of data ingestion processes, identifying and addressing any issues or bottlenecks.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity throughout the ingestion process.
  • Provide training and support to customers on data transfer and ingestion procedures.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in data management and email campaign technologies.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum years experience 5 years proven experience as a Business Data Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of data processing and email campaign technologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strength being the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Experience working with software development teams in an Agile environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with data management tools and technologies.
  • Knowledge of data privacy regulations and best practices.
  • Certification in Agile methodologies (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner).

Southern California Base Salary Range: $96,120-$153,792

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital’s annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
