THE TEAM

The mission of the Product Business Technology department is to design, build, deliver, and operate scalable technology, data, analytics, and AI solutions that align with the strategic objectives of Aritzia’s Planning, Buying, Allocation and Pricing functions. 

THE OPPORTUNITY

As a member of the Product Business Technology department, you will be part of the team responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously improving technology, data, analytics, and AI solutions in support of our Planning, Buying, Allocation and Pricing workflows. As a Data Visualization Engineer, you will maximize the value of Aritzia’s data by supporting the business to make data-informed decisions. You will combine your understanding of our business with your passion for data visualization and user experience to streamline, optimize, and innovate analytical interfaces that are easily absorbed, heavily adopted, and drive high-quality decision making across the business.  With the skills you gain in this role, the opportunities are endless – from a rewarding career in Technology, to continued growth and development with Aritzia.

THE ROLE

As the Data Visualization Engineer, you will:

• Provide trusted solutions that enable self-service insights, ensuring that the data used for visualization is accurate, complete, and high quality.

• Leverage data visualization tools to develop scalable, performant, and maintainable analytics solutions.

• Leverage user experience design principles to design intuitive and interactive visualizations.

• Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes of data visualizations to communicate design ideas.

• Partner with Analytics Engineering to provide data models that unlock business value, inclusive of data cleansing, transformation, and delivery.

• Support with effectively planning and delivering high-quality Data & Analytics products for our customers and the business.

THE QUALIFICATIONS

The Data Visualization Engineer has:

• Proven skills, education, and/or applicable certifications:

  • Experience creating custom data visualizations and data experiences using modern tools. (Tableau, Power BI, Looker)

  • Ability to lead the design process from ideation to polished design, using sketches, wireframes, UX scenarios and mockups to present ideas.

  • Expertise building scalable solutions for handling large data volumes, complex, and interactive reporting.

  • Experience using SQL to transform data into useful formats.

• A commitment to learn and apply Aritzia's Business and People Leadership principles

THE COMPENSATION

At Aritzia, we provide market-leading compensation packages designed to reward impact through our pay-for-performance philosophy.
The range for roles at this level is $100,000 - $300,000 per year. Total compensation may include base, bonus and/or equity depending on the role, which has the potential to be greater than this range.
