You understand the insurance business domain and ensure your own tasks contribute to meeting the business objectives by applying appropriate methods and critical thinking and performing analysis.

How you will create impact:
  • Independently analyze and execute incoming requests, working hands‑on to maintain and enhance stored procedures, data transformations, and foundational data assets that support insurance and actuarial data workflows.
  • Write, modify, and validate SQL‑based data logic within the enterprise data layer, ensuring accuracy, performance, and alignment with documented definitions.
  • Use Python to support execution work, including data validation, reconciliation, automation, and regression checks related to changes.
  • Work directly with requestors to clarify requirements and translate them into technical implementation, escalating or coordinating with others only when needed.
  • Apply strong judgment around data quality, reconciliation, and reasonableness, validating outputs before changes are promoted or released.
  • Document data logic, assumptions, and changes clearly to support maintainability, knowledge transfer, and operational stability.

To join our team:
  • You have 3-5 years of experience in Business Intelligence, analytics, or a related field, with demonstrated experience working with insurance (required).
  • You have a University Degree in Business Intelligence, Computer Science, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent technical experience.
  • You have advanced SQL skills, including complex joins, aggregations, and validations, and experience developing analytics in an enterprise data platform (e.g., Synapse or equivalent).
  • You know Python and have hands‑on experience using it to support analytics, data validation, automation, or analytical workflows.
  • You are comfortable analyzing large, structured datasets and apply strong judgment around data quality, reconciliation, and reasonableness of results.
  • You can translate business or analytical questions into clear data requirements and communicate results effectively to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders, acting as a bridge between business needs and technical implementation.
  • Experience with Databricks is considered an asset.
  • Exposure to visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) is an asset.
  • Professional actuarial designations (e.g., ACAS or FCAS) are considered an asset.
How you will succeed:
  • You influence change and are committed to continuous improvement, in order to exceed client expectations.
  • You leverage critical thinking skills to identify problems and proactively propose solutions.
  • Your strong communication skills allow you to clearly convey messages.
  • You’re an effective team player who shares knowledge to support our peers.
What you need to know:
  • You will be subject to a Background check as a condition of employment, in the event you are the successful candidate.
What’s in it for you?
  • Training and development opportunities to grow your career.
  • Flexible work options and paid time off to support your personal and family needs.
  • A holistic approach to your well-being, with physical and mental health programs and a supportive workplace culture.
  • Paid volunteer days to give back to your community.
  • In addition to our competitive salary and incentive programs, eligible employees also benefit from a comprehensive total rewards package including group retirement savings plans, pension and benefits (e.g., health and wellness, dental, disability and life coverage), mental health support and an employee assistance program.
