Reporting to the CSD Manager, The CSD Engineering is responsible to coordinate the engineering activities to meet company objectives for design, as a contractor point of view. Supporting to deliver a successful project on time, on budget, within company requirements and client obligations for safety, health, environment and quality.
Administrate information and the technical documentation to the others working on a project to ensure that the work complies with all engineering standards, codes, specifications, design instructions and supporting the production activities.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Liaising with Project Design Team.
  • Reviewing and managing drawings coming from Design Team and conveying them to subcontractor and suppliers for the production of shop drawings
  • Review drawings coming for suppliers and subcontractors. Coordination of these shop drawings with structural and architectural details.
  • Review Concrete Mix Design coming for suppliers and subcontractors. Coordination of the review by the EoR and Durability Consultant.
  • Leading clash avoidance and interferences management between civil, structural, architectural and process equipment.
  • Coordinate site coordination sketches and site construction drawings with CAD drafters
  • Obtaining quantities of different project elements
  • Coordinate the procurement activities from a design point of view.
  • Perform administrative functions such as reviewing and Field Review Reports, Field Change Requests and Requests for Information.
  • Present and explain proposals, reports, and findings to client.
  • Assist to ensure the quality design management plan is met at all times.
  • Attend progress meetings, discuss and suggest technical proposals
  • Assist to Follow-up with subcontractors during negotiations and offer award or subcontract terms, performance and payments
  • Maintaining organized and detailed project records, red lines and as built drawings.
  • Administrate the technical documentation.
  • Maintain cordial relations and communications with designers and engineering leaders disciplines.
  • Planning and maintaining project schedules.
  • Liaise between the construction and engineering teams ensuring the harmony between engineering team requirements and construction team deliverables.
  • Other responsibilities of such a position, along with further duties and requirements as we may reasonably request of you from time to time.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Excellent technical, communication, organizational, managerial and planning skills.
  • Excellent people and leadership skills.
  • Excellent solving problems/analysis.
  • Computer literate. Reporting.
  • Comfortable in working to tight deadlines.
  • BIM, Revit and/or Auto CAD knowledge is a plus.

Required Skills and Competencies

Experience/Qualifications:

  • Engineering degree.
  • 3+ years construction related experience or training, with rebar and concrete.
  • 2+ years’ experience working on construction projects within the Technical Office Department.
  • Experience working in a multi-national environment is a plus.
  • Master degree or experience in skytrain projects an asset.
