Job Summary: The Corporate Accounting Analyst is responsible for processing monthly journal entries, performing balance sheet reconciliations, allocating costs, and actively participating in the month-end close process. This role supports the wider finance department to ensure accurate, timely reporting, while assisting with tax functions, audits, and ad-hoc corporate projects
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and post journal entries, intercompany transactions, cost allocations
  • Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Perform monthly bank and intercompany reconciliations.
  • Collaboratively support the Accounting & Reporting team to meet tight reporting deadlines with precision.
  • Assist with corporate tax filings and provide required documentation and administrative support for internal and external audits.
  • Active involvement in accounting for new initiatives and ad hoc projects.
  • Additional duties, as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 1+ years of experience in Corporate Accounting, General Accounting, or a related accounting function.
  • Experience preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and assisting with month-end close activities.
  • Working knowledge of General Ledger accounting principles and financial reporting processes.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including formulas, data analysis, and spreadsheet management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting 
  • 3+ years of experience in Corporate Accounting, Financial Reporting, or a related accounting environment.
  • Experience with intercompany accounting, cost allocations, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Experience supporting tax filings, internal audits, and external audits.
  • Construction industry accounting experience.
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting software.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and financial data analysis.
  • CPA designation or active progress toward CPA certification is considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to support process improvements, special projects, and new business initiatives

  • Must be able to effectively communicate, (ie see, hear, speak and write clearly) in order to communicate with colleagues and/or customers; manual dexterity required for occasional reaching, lifting of light office objects, and operating office equipment 

Working Conditions:
In general, the following conditions of the work environment are representative of those that an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. 
  • The office is clean, orderly, properly lighted and ventilated. Noise levels are considered low to moderate 
Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000 DOE
